About Execute Entropy
Transforming chaos into structured, high-performance software solutions
Our Mission
Our mission is to transform complex creative technology into intuitive, expressive, and powerful tools.
We build systems that help musicians, performers, and creators understand their data, connect their devices, design their own workflows, and translate musical information across sound, control, motion, color, and visual expression.
Execute Entropy exists to reduce friction without reducing possibility—to make advanced technology feel approachable, adaptable, and alive while giving Users greater ownership over how they create, perform, and interact with their tools.

The Story
Execute Entropy began with a practical problem: MIDI systems can become complicated very quickly.
Our earliest work focused on building a lightweight, high-performance tool for monitoring, diagnosing, filtering, and separating MIDI traffic by device. The goal was to make complex MIDI environments easier to understand—especially for musicians working with combinations of hardware, software, controllers, synthesizers, and digital audio workstations.
But as the foundation grew, so did the vision.
Inspired by the phenomenon of synaesthesia—the blending of senses—we began wondering what would happen if MIDI data were given another dimension. What if musical information could be translated not only into sound, but into motion, color, animation, and advanced visual expression?
That question became the beginning of iLumidi.
From there, another idea emerged: users should not have to depend entirely on external hardware or third-party software to control and generate MIDI. They should be able to create their own instruments and interfaces directly inside the application.
That idea became the Factory—not simply a virtual MIDI controller, but a creative playground where users can construct their own control surfaces, connect them through MIDI Listen and Learn, and shape them around the way they actually work.
The next major breakthrough came during a hybrid hardware and DAW jam session. Repetitive mapping, scattered controls, and workflow limitations kept interrupting the creative process. While imagining what the ideal performance system would feel like, the concept for OKTRTA—One Knob to Rule Them All—was born.
OKTRTA became our vision of the “meta-macro”: one expressive control capable of commanding entire groups of parameters across instruments, software, hardware, and visual systems. Simple enough to use immediately, yet powerful enough to reshape an entire performance.
What began as a MIDI diagnostic utility had evolved into something much larger: an interconnected suite for observing, controlling, generating, and visualizing musical information.
That is the foundation of the iLumidi Suite—and the story of Execute Entropy: taking complex systems, finding the expressive possibilities hidden inside them, and turning them into tools that feel intuitive, creative, and alive.
Core Values
Creativity Without Friction
Technology should support the creative process, not interrupt it. We design tools that reduce unnecessary complexity, shorten the distance between an idea and its expression, and help Users stay immersed in the moment.
Power Through Simplicity
Powerful systems should not have to feel complicated. We create workflows that are intuitive on the surface, deep beneath it, and capable of growing alongside the User.
Transparency and Respect
Software should be honest about what it is doing. We reject deceptive design, invasive behavior, artificial limitations, and manipulative practices. Our products should feel good to use, buy, and own.
